Protection Equipment and Options -

The monitored Security Alarm system can include:

 

Control panels. This is the power source of the entire system. Typically, the control panel is hidden from plain sight -

 

Battery Back-up.  All of our systems come standard with a back up battery that lasts up to 24 hours in case of power failure.

 

Security keypads. Installed by the main entrance and allow employees to get in and out with their individual code.  We can even let you know who came and at what time.  Ever have an employee fail to open on time. Now you can know right away with KPS's Supervised Monitoring Services.

 

Motion detectors. Also known as passive infrared (PIR) detectors, these devices trip the alarm by sensing changes in the infrared energy levels when an intruder is in the area.

 

Door and window contacts. These magnetic devices are placed along door jams and window frames and trigger the alarm system when opened.

 

Glassbreak sensors. KPS's glass break sensors identify the acoustic shock waves of glass breaking and set off the system.

 

Sirens. Our loud sirens can be located internally or externally.  You can even add a strobe so authorities can see what building the alarm is coming.

Two-way monitoring. Our two way monitoring services allows our Monitoring Command Center to instantly listen in to hear if there is an actual burglary or robbery taking place.  It's also a great false alarm prevention feature because your security keypad acts as an intercom system, to verify an employee's identity if they accidentally trip the alarm.

 

Open and close schedule monitoring. There are two ways to track who has opened and closed your business. The first is a supervised system that tells you who armed or disarmed the security system at the exact time it occurs. Our Monitoring Command Center can even notify you if the system is left off after closing. In contrast, our non-supervised open and close reports simply keeps track of when the alarm is armed and disarmed and sent to you in a monthly or weekly report.  This also allows you to call to see if the system was armed. 

   
 

Other Monitored Burglar Alarm System add-ons:
 

Fire alarms. While a homeowner can simply add a smoke detector to their existing burglar alarm system, it's not so simple for a business. Commercial fire alarms must adhere to strict guidelines set forth by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

 

Video surveillance. With KPS you can monitor what's going on, you can supplement your monitored burglar alarm system with a wide range of Video Surveillance equipment, from a single video camera and monitor to our complex closed circuit television (CCTV) systems with several cameras, multiple operators, and digital video recorders (DVR's).

 

Access control. A burglar alarm system where employees use special cards or fobs to gain access into the office or restricted areas, allowing you to track when they enter and leave your office. Our Access Control Systems feature proximity readers mounted outside the locked door for easy, yet secure access.
