C-Mount cameras, or box CCTV camera, provide ultimate flexibility with many choices of CCTV lenses and resolutions available. Box cameras also may require a camera housing to protect it from the elements if used as an outdoor camera. Some special applications may require special types of security cameras called a PTZ camera (pan tilt zoom camera) that can be moved and zoomed from a remote location.
